Our staff is available to serve you. Our office hours are Monday through Wednesday, 9:00am-3:00pm, and Friday, 9:00am-3:00pm.

Roland Weaver - Senior Pastor RW@opendoorhibbing.com   Roland is an ordained minister who began serving   at Open Door Church in 1985. Roland is a native   of Pennsylvania and has been a resident of   Minnesota since 1977. He and his wife, Beulah,

have two married sons, Jeremy and Joshua and are also proud grandparents. Roland was a mason contractor by trade and has led the church through two building projects - the second one nearing completion in the summer of 2008. Roland loves this community and living in the northern part of Minnesota, which affords hunting, fishing and golfing, three of his favorite pastimes. Roland has a passion for seeing people find Christ and succeed in all areas of life.

	Tim Rice - Associate Pastor Tim@opendoorhibbing.com   Tim has been actively involved with Open Door   Church since its inception in 1981. He has been a   licensed pastor with Gospel Crusade International   since 1982 and married to his wife, Annette, since
1986. They are raising four children and live in Hibbing. Tim has been a full time pastor at Open Door since 2002, and is also trained in church consulting through Church Central in Dallas, TX and Church Growth Resources. He continues to pursue church consulting. Tim is an all around "Fix it Guy" (with Duct tape) and enjoys 4-wheeling.

Jacob Frederick - Student Ministry Director StudentMinistry@opendoorhibbing.com   Jacob is a licensed minister through Gospel   Crusade International. Originally from Marble,   Colorado, he moved with his parents to Cook,   Minnesota in 1999. In 2003 he began attending

Open Door Church and volunteering with student ministry. Since 2004 he has served as the Student Ministry Director. Jacob married his wife, Heather, in 2005, and in October 2007 they welcomed their son, Zebediah, into their family. Jacob and his family live in Hibbing where he enjoys his hobbies of hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, paintball, camping, motorcycles, walking, bike riding and basically anything outdoors.

	Kris Harris - Children's Ministry Director Kris@opendoorhibbing.com   While new to the position of Children's Ministry   Director, Kris has been a part of Open Door   Church since the fall of 2001. A graduate of   Crown College with a degree in Religious
Education, she has served in churches in Wisconsin, South Dakota, and Minnesota in various educational ministry positions. When not involved at church, she can be found working at her desk at State Farm Insurance in Hibbing, planning practical jokes, gardening, riding her cycle or hibernating in the winter.

Lynn Houle - Nursery Ministry Leader   Nursery Leader since September 2004, Lynn   works as a licensed practical nurse and is   married to her husband, Brian, an audio   engineer. They married each other for the   second time in September of 2001.

Both were raised on dairy farms in Hinckley, Minnesota and were high school sweethearts. They married young and had a family right away, but ended up going their separate ways until their reunion nearly 20 years later. Their family includes 8 children (4 girls and 4 boys), a beautiful granddaughter that they enjoy spending time with, and a very spoiled miniature dachshund named Sophie. Lynn loves to sew, quilt, knit and scrapbook. Unfortunately for her crafting, she loves her nursing job at the Duluth Clinic Hibbing. Since she was a young girl Lynn has wanted to nurse others and has been a nurse for 28 years. She also enjoys reading and writing, these as a part of quiet time at the camper on Side Lake, a retreat for her, where summers are way too short.

	Jennifer Nelson - Preschool Ministry Leader   Jennifer has been attending Open Door Church   and volunteering in many areas of the Children's   Ministry for most of her life. She has an AAS   Degree in Child Development and is an   Infant/Toddler Teacher at Invest Early in
Nashwauk, Minnesota. She enjoys volunteering, organizing and helping others. Scrap booking is a favorite hobby along with camping and exploring the Minnesota State Parks.

Dean Wilen - Celebrate Recovery Ministry Director CelebrateRecovery@opendoorhibbing.com   Dean is passionate about recovery and people in   recovery - and since everyone needs recovery from   some hurt, habit or hang-up, he has a heart for all.   In the past, he was a local entrepreneur (MCD; Boss   Construction) taught business classes at Hibbing

Technical College, and before his health deteriorated, he worked for Northwest Airlines at the reservation center in Chisholm. In 2005, kidney failure and the loss of his left leg brought him to his personal bottom--no job, no leg, marriage failing, no hope...then Dean accepted God's unconditional love and His endless hope, and Dean was transformed. On July 17, 2005 he was water baptized and started down the 'road to recovery' and has been active at Open Door Church and every opportunity to serve in His love ever since. Dean is now very happily married to Carrie and together they are blessed with seven adult children and thirteen grandkids that bring them great joy.
